- When should I send out my wedding invitations?
Traditionally invites should go out 6 weeks before the wedding. However with today’s busy lifestyles you may want to send them out earlier. This would also give you more time to confirm the numbers and names that you will be expecting. Save the date cards can be sent out as early as you want!
- When should I order my wedding invitations?
The earlier the better. The time it takes to finalise the design and wording can take some time. Once your design requirements have been confirmed you need to leave at least 6 weeks for your order to be processed. However, it could take as little as 2 weeks, depending on our work load and the size of your order. If you are well organised your design can be decided on well in advance and quantities confirmed later.
- How many invitations should I order?
Obviously you will know the number of guests that you want to invite, however it is advisable to order a few extra to cover mistakes when writing them, for a keepsake and also for those extra guests to replace any who can’t make it.
- Who sends out the invitations?
Traditionally the brides parents would host the wedding and send out the invites, but every situation is different and more often the bride and groom send out their own invites.
- Can I include additional information with my invites?
It is advisable to include a self addressed and stamped RSVP card with a strict RSVP date. This will help you to finalise numbers in good time, especially if ordering further stationery such as a table plan, place names etc. Further information like hotel lists, maps and gift lists etc can also be included. These will incur an extra cost if ordered from us.
- What information should be included in an order of service?
The amount of detail that goes into an order of service really is up to you, as long as your guests have a schedual of events. It does become more personal to your day if you include for example names of anyone doing readings, the words of hymns or the title of your entrance music etc
- How many order of service do I need?
You will need one per guest or one per couple. Don’t forget that members of the choir, the Vicar, the organist, other musicians or anyone else taking part will also need one.
- Can I make changes once the proofs have been signed?
You can make changes, but all stationery is handmade to order, so any changes after proofs have been signed will incur costs. Those costs will depend on how much of the order has already been processed.
- When do I need to supply you with names, dates, venues and times for my invites?
This information is needed when you place your order.
- When do I need to supply you with names for place cards and my table plan?
The sooner the better. We advise you to forward your final list at least 3 weeks before the wedding. In order to gather this information in plenty of time, you need to put a realistic RSVP date on your invites. If, before the 3 week deadline you have a partial list of guests names definitely attending, particularly for place cards, forwarding those on as soon as you have them would be very useful and get your order moving!
- When do you need a copy of the order of service +/or menu?
Again the sooner the better. Please forward the details as soon as they have been finalised, however early it may seem, but no later than 3 weeks prior to the wedding. We appreciate that the quantities you require will depend on the return of your RSVP’s , but if we can get the design of the menus +/or order of service proofed by you early on, we’ll be half way there.
- When can I expect my order to arrive?
This very much depends on the size of your order and our current work load. You will be advised at the time of enquiry how long you order should take.
